The Game Jam is part of our game expo, featuring chats with game developers and passerbys throughout the Festival! Three teams will be competing throughout April and then appearing live to finish their games at the Jam! Two teams are representing Irish colleges: Pulse and BCFE; while the third team comes from Laughing Reign Games.
Anyone in attendance can vote for the game they think is the best. The winner gets top billing at the Irish Game Developer Showreel, a video showcase that will play on the main screen before the VGL show on 1 May. The showreel will be a showcase of all Irish-based Game Developers upcoming games as well as the 3 Game Jam teams games and their efforts over the weekend.
The Game Jam event is created and run by Laughing Reign Games, who will have a demo of their latest game playable at the Festival.
